Mr. McDaniel has over 8 years of experience in a broad range of environmental aspects. Among these include NPDES permitting and permit compliance, interpretation of regulations, coordination and negotiations with environmental regulatory agencies, treatment facility operations, and preparation and programming of scopes and budgets. He has provided support on civil and environmental projects including study, compliance, maintenance and operations, performance optimization, and capital upgrades of water and wastewater treatment facilities. He has completed numerous Phase I environmental assessments in accordance with ASTM standards, and Phase II assessments evaluating soil and groundwater conditions through physical, chemical, and geophysical methods.
Mr. McDaniel has overseen potable water compliance activities including review and approval of sanitary design elements of project drawings and technical specifications, and submittal and coordination for receipt of regulatory approval. He has developed compliance sampling plans, completed vulnerability assessments and emergency response plans, and performed capacity analyses and sanitary surveys of treatment, storage, and distribution of large and small water systems. He has supported hydraulic model development, routine compliance sampling and analysis, and implementation of new regulatory monitoring requirements.
Mr. McDaniel has experience in design and implementation of surface water quality monitoring systems and hydraulic/pollutant modeling. He has completed projects including stormwater discharge permitting and compliance monitoring, development and review of stormwater pollution prevention plans, erosion and sedimentation control plans, and consultation and implementation of construction stormwater best management practices.
